UNDERGROUND VENTILATION
What is UVS?
UVS (Underground Ventilation System) moves ventilation ducting below ground, opening up new design possibilities for architects, engineers, installers, and property owners.
By routing supply and exhaust air underground, UVS frees up valuable space inside the building, simplifies installation, and gives architects far greater flexibility in design.
The system works in two main ways: air can be drawn in and led out through underground ducts connected to air towers, keeping the building's façade clean and uninterrupted. Alternatively, ducts can run underground within the building itself, saving space and enabling more flexible floor plans.
Lightweight and durable, our UVS ducts are straightforward to install on projects of any size or complexity. They also stand out as one of the most robust and reliable systems on the market, with a proven track record for long service life and tight seals even in demanding conditions – all without the higher investment costs typically associated with that level of performance.
To maximize performance and reduce long-term costs, we recommend insulating your underground ducts. Insulation improves temperature control, reduces heat loss, and helps prevent condensation inside the ducts – as well as frost damage to the surrounding ground when cold outdoor air is drawn through them in winter. It's a worthwhile investment that delivers long-term financial and environmental benefits.
