Energy Loss Comparison for a DN300 Ventilation Duct:
- Without insulation: At an air temperature of 20°C and a ground temperature of 14°C, energy losses amount to approximately 19W/m.
- With 70mm EPS VENT insulation: Losses are reduced to just 3W/m.
Beyond minimizing energy loss, EPS PIPE™ also enhances the structural integrity of the duct system by providing a stable and uniform support layer.
With EPS PIPE™, the flat and supportive foundation ensures a uniform load distribution along the entire duct. This eliminates the risk of uneven settlement and optimizes the load transfer, effectively increasing the duct’s pressure class by reducing mechanical stress and deformation risks.
EPS is a lightweight, sustainable material with excellent thermal properties, making it a well-established and widely used building material in Sweden.
The standard EPS PIPE™ - VENT system covers dimensions from DN150 to DN1000 for ELGOCELL UVS and Uponor UVS.
However, we can custom-insulate pipes from any brand upon request.
